My favourite writer

As for me , I love reading books like magazines, story books, novel and many more. I read books regardless any authors if i find the content interesting. I grew up by reading Enid Blyton's piece of work. But while i was sitting for my PMR(Penilaian Menengah Rendah) , I was given a book by my dad. It was ( Come To Class With Adibah Bahasa). It was a very interesting book where she speaks in English for Bahasa Malaysia subjects. The book was very helpful for me during my PMR since i was quite weak in Bahasa Malaysia. It is an invaluable guide for students and learners of Bahasa Malaysia as the lesson covered a wide range of common errors and finer points of the language. Then, after a year, I managed to get a copy of her SPM( Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) book. Come to class with Adibah is Adibah Amin's latest book aimed at helping Malaysian master the national language.

Students preparing for the SPM Bahasa Melayu exam will find it as excellent form of tutorial. There are also something to learn in this book for everyone. If you are ignoramus where Bahasa is concerned and even if your Bahasa needs some brushing up, do Come To Class With Adibah. The book compromise 34 delightful lessons that make learning Bahasa fun and easy. Turn to any lesson and you will undoubtedly learn something new and unforgettable because you are under the tutelage of Adibah Amin.

Adibah Amin is an inspiring teacher and renowned bilingual writer who is a household name with Malaysian. A journalist, novelist and writer of short stories in both English and Bahasa Melayu, Adibah has many translations, radio dramas, several books and many writing awards to her credit. The latest was in 1996 when she was presented with the Johor Literary Award. A former school principal, Adibah started her career in journalism with the News Straits Times in 1971. She left in 1984 and spend many years in freelance writing and teaching Bahasa. In the early 1990's, she joined The Star and soon began writing a series of articles on Bahasa for the Sunday Star Education pullout.

Now I am looking forward for her next piece of work. Thanks alot Adibah Amin as you have helped me alot in my Bahasa paper.

Task 1 : Last weekend

Last weekend, my friends and I decided to watch a movie together after two weeks not meeting up. As we reached the mall, my friends were cracking jokes all the way and was laughing non-stop. As we were walking towards the escalator, there was an old half bald man coming down. One of my friends, was making fun of him and I was laughing until I slipped and fall on a guy. Well! I was surely embarassed but what bother me much was that he was looking very handsome and he was with his group of friends as they were gigling too. After apologizing to him , i left with a smile on my face. I realised that i have seen him somewhere. I was cracking my head looking for an answer. As we were watching movie, i wasn't concentrating on the movie as i was wondering "why the guy looks so familiar?". Then something crossed my mind that i thought, "ya this is the guy that i used to admire a very long time ago" but " where??", "where did i actually see him?". Wait a minute ! I am here to watch movie but why am i wasting my time thinking of who he was ? Well, we meet many people in our daily life but why I kept thinking about him on and on.

Suddenly , i remembered "Oh ya, Facebook" i told my friend. She said, "What?". I said, "I saw him in Facebook". After reaching home, i checked my mail to see whether he was the one i met just now. But to my surprise, i got a new mail which says, "Hi, were u the one whom i saw today at the mall?". Well, without wasting any more time, i replied and said, " Yes, i am the one" and we kept on contacting each other. Since that day, we keep in touch and became good friends and i hope that our friendship will last forever and now i started to believe in destiny.

Poem about myself

N is given to me as i am naughty at times,
E because i am entertaining ,
E as i am always energetic,
T as my trade of talkative and trustworthy,
A as a good friend who appreciate friendship,

and that is me, Seneeta.
